Craig Green Continues To Remix adidas Classics For Autumn/Winter 2020

Paris Fashion Week, as it proves every year, always holds a wealth of surprises, but 2020 was undoubtedly of a different breed, setting the stage for UNDERCOVER’s return to form and then letting reveal what is now sacai’s most awaited collaboration. adidas further established its place in high fashion as well, taking the hand of designer Craig Green once again for what is now their second collaborative collection. Vibrant yet tonal and near reflective of Green’s sense for avant-garde, the pair’s — though classic — lie far away from the typecast.

The Superstar, which leans a bit closer to the minimal side of the spectrum, dresses up for its birthday, putting on a suit of black base with intricate stitched detailing taking the palette of neon greens and bright, punchy whites. Scattered up the tongue, along the side, and everywhere else visible, the pair effectively swaps leather for weave in a treatment quite similar to Green’s approach to garments. In the same vein, the Samba recreates with close semblance to the original in terms of shape, leaving be the accentuated tongue while adding atop a filter of chaotic embroidery. A newfound BOOST runner then rounds off the capsule, forgoing the colorful in favor of a technical swathe of nylons and cushioned ankles.

Grab a detailed look at all of the above right here and expect to see more as we arrive closer to the Fall/Winter season.
