The New Balance 996 Made In USA Returns In Perfect Suede Options

The New Balance 996 Made In USA Returns In Perfect Suede Options

First released in 1988 as a hybrid runner/trainer, the New Balance 996 is still going strong more than 30 years later, and it’s just popped up in two ultra-premium made-in-the-USA colorways: an elegant black and a rich burgundy. Each pair features a surplus of supple tonal suede on its mesh upper, while providing contrast with a bold hi-vis reflective midfoot logo and heel tab. A small strip of soft brown suede runs down the midfoot to accent the hand-crafted construction, and an intentionally yellowed heel clip offers a dash of retro style. Down below, a trim two-tone ENCAP midsole guarantees classic comfort and support. After six Japanese brands brought their signature touches to the classic New Balance silhouette last month, these stately-yet-subtle 996s certainly keep the ball rolling in the right direction, and they’re available now at the retailers listed directly below for $170 USD.
