The Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Grinch” Releases Tomorrow

Although the late Kobe Bryant‘s induction into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame has been postponed until May 2021, the release of the Nike Kobe 6 Protro “Grinch” hasn’t, as it heads to Nike SNKRS tomorrow, December 24th.

While not inspired by the grumpy Dr. Seuss character, the pair’s “Green Apple/Volt” palette and first appearance in-game on Christmas Day 2010 have enabled the unofficial moniker. The textured upper, which boasts a sleeker shape on 2020’s “performance retro” model, molded heel structure and hoops-ready sole unit deliver the same eye-catching style they did 10 years ago. Those lucky enough to secure a pair tomorrow may not be so quick to test out the shoes at their local gym, but they could if they wanted to given that the reissue is meant for performance after all. As if the shades of green didn’t warrant enough attention on their own, the hits of “Crimson” throughout Bryant-specific branding would pair well with a scarlet-colored lace swap.

Enjoy another look at the Kobe 6 Protro “Grinch” here below before you test your luck via the Nike SNKRS app tomorrow, December 24th.
