Jovani Hernandez Ahead of Halloween 2020, Kawhi Leonard and his New Balance family have announced the KAWHI “Jolly Rancher Collection”, which includes the Los Angeles Clippers guard’s signature sneaker, alongside lifestyle footwear and apparel.
While the candy-inspired capsule has been teased by Leonard throughout his time in the NBA bubble, in particular against a tough Game 6 loss to the Denver Nuggets, it’s full scope had been kept under wraps until recently. Unlike the game-worn KAWHI, an accompanying 327, 480 Low, and pair of slides indulge in a predominantly “Blue Raspberry” color scheme instead of the multi-color “Assorted Flavors” arrangement. Although the animated blue, green, red, and yellow hues that appear throughout the forthcoming collection contrast Leonard’s public all-business demeanor, they reveal part of the “board man’s” personality. Besides, the Jolly Rancher fruit gang characters on the tongue of the headlining KAWAHI feature his signature, ever-memeable deadpan expression.
