Nike Is Adding Flyknit To Two Of Their Best Running Shoes

Nike Is Adding Flyknit To Two Of Their Best Running Shoes

With 2018’s marathon season right around the corner, Nike is gearing up to re-design two of its most popular running silhouettes – the Zoom Fly and the Zoom Vaporfly 4%. Both high performance training options rose to popularity in different manners, as the Vaporfly 4% was worn by Shalane Flanagan en route to becoming the first US woman to win the New York City marathon since 1977, while the Zoom Fly was included in Virgil Abloh’s Off White “The Ten” collection. With achieving greater efficiency and creating an ultra lightweight product in mind, the Swoosh Brand is set to add Flyknit to these two innovative designs.

Boasting Flyknit for the first time, both of these marathon-ready iterations feature incredibly breathable uppers, while the Zoom Fly has added React Foam to its sole unit for a softer and more responsive ride. Matching the Vaporfly, the Zoom Fly also equips a new carbon fiber plate that delivers the runner the feeling of propulsion, helping them finish their run with similar energy than that with which they started. Compared to other elite running shoes on the market, these two new models have been lab tested, and have been proven to deliver greater efficiency than the brand’s previous quickest models. Enjoy a first look at the Zoom Vapor Fly Flyknit and the Zoom Vaporfly 4% Flyknit below and look forward to their release at retailers on September 13th and October 4th, respectively.
