Polar Skate Co.’s Blazer Is Actually A Hybrid Of Several Nike Shoes

There’s been an overwhelmingly positive response to Polar Skate Co.’s Nike SB Blazer thus far, and it’s probably because it’s not your average pair – in more ways than one. According to Nike SB info source and fanpage @nikesbornothing, these Blazers are a frankenstein’d mix of parts from other in-line silhouettes of the brand’s product line. While the overall silhouette is obviously that of familiar basketball-turned-skate shoe, it features an exterior ollie guard typically not seen in SB Blazers (but present in Sportswear offerings), a tongue from the Bruin, a sole from Grant Taylor’s iteration of the Blazer, and even lace eyelets from the Air Max 1. Aside from the construction, Polar has added distinct details such as a custom logo that intermixes their own symbol with the Swoosh, their namesake embroidered onto the heel, and stars cut out beneath the belly of the Swoosh. These, alongside the SB Air Trainer 1, are releasing on June 8th at select skateshops and on June 10th worldwide.
