Official Images Of The FDNY-Inspired Nike Air Max 90 “NYC”

Replete with New York City themes — though not the sleepless work culture or the sprawling cityscape — the Nike Air Max 90, made as part of the brand’s on-going city pack, enlists the FDNY for inspiration. From triple white creations in nod to Parisan bakers to cement-tinged pairings crafted to the spitting image of Tokyo construction sites, the silhouette has seen a diverse mix of executions, but standing apart quite a far ways away, the NYC edition paints with a brush of bright red and hi-vis neon: two signature elements in the aforementioned rescuers fire-ready uniforms. Stark blacks outfit the base, mixing in standard smooth leathers next to nylon toe boxes, with its overlaid accents leaning closer to color; laces as well as the “FDNY” stamp highlight in the warmer option while the swooshes take on a vibrant volt in a chainlink pattern that overtly mimics the reflective stripe seen on equipment. Grab an official look at the pair right here and find it releasing exclusively to the city on January 30th.
