One of the hottest buzzworthy topics over the summer was the upcoming Nike Zoom Kobe VI, and a leaked set images of an all-black Kobe-centric pair of low-cut basketball shoes was then thought to be Kobe sixth shoe. As time rolled by, the real Kobe VI was revealed, leaving that first shoe with a big question mark. Clearly a ‘lite’ version of the Nike Zoom Kobe, it was then believed to be either the next Zoom Kobe Dream Season or Zoom Kobe Make Sense – two non-signature Kobe sneakers that have had success in Asia.

Here’s a look at a ‘Lakers’ colorway of the same Kobe shoe; at this point, it is merely called the Nike Zoom Kobe Venomenon, alluding to the all-new nickname adopted by the Zoom Kobe VI. Whether or not this is in fact the next Dream Season or Make Sense release has not yet been determined, but this shoe was in fact spotted at a U.S. retailer, pointing to a possible wide release of a second Nike Kobe shoe in the states. Take another look after the jump and stick with Sneaker News for more information on this new development. via NT.

Update: The images were not taken in the U.S., but in the Philippines.
