Donovan Mitchell Dons The Iron Spider-Man Suit With Upcoming adidas Release

Donovan Mitchell of the Utah Jazz loves Spider-Man so much that his new adidas D.O.N. Issue #1 is all about the wise-cracking web swinger, and the latest Spidey-themed colorway to appear is the “Iron Spider-Man.” Although the shoe is Spider-Man in name, it’s unabashedly more Iron Man in its stylings, and for good reason: the Iron Spider suit that inspired the shoes was designed by Tony Stark. History and heroic red/gold color scheme aside, the shoe also boasts exemplary performance, with a low-cut upper that’s bolstered by thick padding on the collar and tongue. A fused mesh keeps weight low and breathability high, while a BOUNCE midsole ensures the feel is springy enough for Mitchell’s high-flying style of play. The marbled outsole then features a multi-directional herringbone traction pattern for exemplary grip. If you’re a die-hard Marvel fan, Jazz supporter, or just need a versatile pair of shoes to ball in, you can expect these “Iron Spider-Man” kicks to release on adidas.com August 31st for an ultra-reasonable $100 USD.
