The Air Jordan 1 Retro High OG “Pine Green” Releases Tomorrow

The Air Jordan 1 has already cemented itself as “Retro Of The Year” two months into 2020. Boasting a return to its ’85 glory and a non-OG, but compelling NC to CHI colorway this month alone, tomorrow’s “Pine Green” drop will further propel Michael Jordan’s first signature shoe into unprecedented popularity.

Constructed entirely of tumbled leather, uppers keep the silhouette’s debut Black “skeleton” unlike recent pairs of both the Jordan 1 Low and Jordan 1 Mid. Contrast, then, comes via “Pine Green” at the toe box, profile Swooshes, heel overlay and ankle flaps. Just as with 2009’s Jordan 1 “DMP” release, tomorrow’s pair rounds out its Boston Celtics-friendly arrangement with a White midsole/Green outsole combination. Elsewhere, however, the “Pine Green” edition distinguishes itself as closer-to-OG than its decade-old counterpart, namely with its reddish “NIKE AIR” branding on the tongue and omission of the Jumpman logo at the heel.
