Nike Adds “New Maroon” To The Air Max 90 Library

The Nike Sportswear category has been hard at work in giving their Air Max 90 the attention it deserves in the wake of its ongoing 30th anniversary by discovering multiple ways to highlight the silhouette through a wide array of eye-catching styles. With its its “Bubble Pack” iterations dropping tomorrow, as well as recent word of the “Reverse Duck Camo” option reportedly dropping for Air Max Day next month, the classic runner wants to take a moment to revert back to its more classical color-blocking versions. Having made use of vintage bright neons and soft pastels for its more recent offerings, it now wants to dial down to more muted accents for this upcoming “New Maroon” edition. Slapped onto its traditional white leather/mesh uppers and black mudguards come a sort of lipstick-ish tone that is dyed upon the usual colored portions including the mid-foot windows, tongues, and lower lace stays for the upper, and the Air unit molds and toe tips for the soles. These will likely be hitting Nike.com and select retailers in the coming weeks, so check out an in-depth look here while you wait on their arrival.
