The Nike Air Max 97 Next Nature Surfaces In “Triple Black”

A stark departure from “Space Hippie” and “Crater,” Nike’s collection of “Next Nature” releases have often highlighted simple, familiar colorways, effectively masking their sustainable make-ups. And despite the addition of the circular design logo, these offerings are near indistinguishable from their original, non-recycled counterparts.

Nike likely plans on phasing out these more harmful products, doing so gradually as they expand their Next Nature catalog. The Air Max 97 is one of the latest to take the frontlines, armored up here in the perennially loved “Triple Black” palette. Save for the see-through window along the midsole, everything from top to bottom is dressed in the dark neutral; even the logo hits — e.g. the embroidered Swooshes, circular design logo, etc. — are practically invisible against their matching backdrops.

In other news, the Yeezy 700 v3 Mono Safflower releases March 18th.
